Shosui Takeda is a Japanese blacksmith based in the small town of Niimi (Okoyama Province), southwest of Osaka.

The knives crafted by Shosui Takeda represent the continuity of a craftsmanship passed down from father to son for three generations. Shosui Takeda is world-renowned for the quality of his kitchen knives, made of San-Mai steel (a three-layer composite steel) with a core of super aogami steel (also called super blue steel), a steel that Shosui is one of the few to master, but above all, to know how to forge!
