L’Âme de la Fure knives

The grandson of a blacksmith from the Isère region and a former airline pilot of 30 years, Jean-François decided to revive his grandfather’s craft through his own cutlery workshop: "L’Âme de la Fure" in Isère (38).

He chose to set up his workshop in a former 18th-century forge in Charavines, north of Grenoble.

He trained in two disciplines: knife-making learning the intricacies of the trade from master cutlers such as Philippe Soeuvre, a specialist in Damascus steel and leatherworking, successfully earning his professional certification (CAP) in the field.
