Morta knives

To say that the Morta knife is loaded with history is saying something. Indeed the Morta knife is the union of 3 destinies that crossed at the end of a 5000 years cycle.
An oak first, who lived a hundred years and then fell, probably in the aftermath of a storm.
A swamp  then, whose silica penetrated the trunk of the dead tree covered over the ages by the peat hardening and preserving, while his soil was trampled by all the men who crossed or settled there  during the last 50 centuries.
Finally, Jean-Henri Pagnon, who was tired of an activity that was no longer matching  his inner nature, decided to run his business as a knifemaker after he met  Morta. And this meeting, fortunate coincidence has been possible thanks to a book : The Brière of Alphonse de Chateaubriant (and not René de Chateaubriand). It was obvious then: he, passionate about knives who had been making it for a few years for his friends, was going to become a cutler and would use the Morta!
The sequel is still written today: the Morta is today produced by Jean-Henri, Vimala and Christophe, with Morta extracted by themselves.
